I just called USCIS to check the status of my case and the Immigration Officer said it is in EB-1 category. I know my case is EB-2.
I asked the IO to see if i have send any paperwork to rectify their mistake, but she said USCIS will automatically adjust the category whe it picks up the case for review
I am confused. Please Advice

Hi
My H1B visa end date is 30July2013(PED or expiration date in H1B visa stamp) and my I-94 end date is 10-Aug2013.But in I797B the end date is 30July2011. Can you please help me that i need to do my H1B visa extension within 30July2011?....please clarrify that visa validity depends on I94 or Visa end date or I797B end date....thanks

When I click on my case on the online case status website (of USCIS) still provides old data only and does not reflect the status for LUD...

I must say it made me spend some time to figure out what it is. Initially I thought it was something square floating in a container of water or a pond. Then I studied it for 30 sec. or so and realized it's a waterfall. Then I found myself really studying it to grasp what you're showing. From the "does it catch your eye and hold you" perspective, it worked for me. From the "this is a beautiful shot that I have to print and hang on a wall, I'd probably vote no. But I am going to go back and look at it a second time because I'm intrigued.

Agreed with Rune on the trees. Nice composition otherwise. I'd move to the other side of that tree line and shoot the barn from several angles. Looks like a lot of potential in that building. If you want the fence in the image, try it from the other end. Maybe the trees won't get in the way. The image also has the leaning-to-the-left feel to it.

You are wrong.. all the applications will go to Atlanta processing center irrespective of company's location..
Right now Atlanta Processing Center processing May 2008 priority date for clean cases....for audited cases July 2007...
It's not true that all the cases will got to Atlanta Processing Center ...if any case that has been auidted will be moved to Atlanta Processing Center.

Most of us with English as our native tongue are spoiled and speak no other language well. And, as Fred says, some of us don't do well with English either...
The mountains are nice, though, since both the foreground hill and background hill are the same apparent height, it does not have as much impact as it could have.
The gull shot is sharp, but will appeal to people more if you get them traveling basically toward the camera, rather than away from the camera as is the case here. I have also found that I like to have some space in front of an animal/bird/fish so it looks like they are going somewhere.
Just my opinion. The most important thing, of course, is that you like them :)

Hi,
We had been to Canada in Sep, 2003 for our Canadian residency stamping. While on our way back to San Francisco, US immigration did not stamp our passports or take back our I-94's. Prior to this trip we had been to India in March, 2003.
Now I am confused as to what should be our last date/port of entry to US? I-94's/passport stamp still indicates our March, 2003 trip and Our Canadian PR stamp does indicate date PR was stamped in Canada. But there's not other stamp/proof on passport for our entry to San Francisco.
Any pointers/suggestions?

Travel to contiguous territory such as Canada for a period of 30 days or less does not count as last Port of entry because they dont take your I-94 or stamp your passport. Therefore you have to put your Prior trip of March 2003.

Hello all,
I received an RFE for employment verification. My ETA 750 list Occ Code as 15-1061 (Title - database Administrators). But in my new job I am working as .Net developer where I work with front end and back end development of their website. I work in C#, ASP.NET, java, Flash.
My attorney asked me to find tasks matching with O*net description of Occ Code 15-1061 . None of them directly relate, but some or part relates. Am I in trouble because I no longer work in database development.

I am new to IV. I am just wondering whether we have ever emphasized on bifurcation of Immigration Bill or call for a interim law to facilitate legal immigrant's issues ( mainly retro victims) -
Our problems are very basic and do not have sociopolitical or economical strings attached to it (Probably works better for economy as lot of us are holding on to buy houses and other big budget stuff).
The main issue I have is
- Unable to change jobs
I can wait for GC but not being able to change jobs is hurting me most.
Employers do not find projects and do not pay on bench. Once you find a project Employer wants a big cut. All in the name of policy ;) .
Please share your thoughts.

This organization is keeping all options open and doing everything, but for some reason, there does not seem to be an easy rsolution to our issue. The group is working hard with support of members, other similar organizations, well wishers, members, some politicians, lobbyists, media etc..

Hello All,
My company filed for my H1-B extension and I have already received the Notice Of Action (Receipt) with "Received date: October 21, 2008" and "Notice Date: October 24, 2008." My case is in Vermont Center. However when I do the case search on USCIS.gov site, it says:
"Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, you can either call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283, or you can send an e-mail to uscis.webmaster@dhs.gov."
I did not type my EAC number incorrectly. I did try to call the above number, which happens to be the national center's number. However it goes in loops and loops but I was not able to speak to a Customer Service representative...I tried almost all applicable options.
Is there a way i can call the Vermont Service directly. If so could anyone please list that number. I would really appreciate any kind of help and suggestions regarding this.

If at an airport and traveling under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), they should contact the U.S. Customs and Border Protection office at the airport. They may also contact the local U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office. Both Department of Homeland Security agencies have provided their staff and offices with guidance on the applicable legal authorities under the VWP in circumstances such as this.
Persons traveling under a visa should contact the nearest USCIS office and follow the instructions below. While these instructions recommend initiating the process 45 days in advance, USCIS is providing reminder guidance on how to handle such cases until normal flights are scheduled between the U.S. and foreign countries affected by the Icelandic volcanic activity.
