with the iTv and nike+ as testing groungs for apples wirless products, perhaps this is why we have seen the delay in the release of the fabled "iphone"? Also contributing to the delay is the time spent in developing the new ear buds. Mr. Jobs said the studied 10,000 ears or someting right? so the could have been developing the iphone pod set. the head set that is a fasion statement and a music player. great sound quality built into a stereo wireless headset that hooks up to iphone. like the first itunes enabled phone commercial with the guy walking and his shadow is dancing, and then answers a call, and then keeps on going :) this pod set will be the next big thing;) :D :p

Again, us Americans with our fake subsidy. Other countries are getting iPhones for free with contract. Lame.
Oh, and if people think T-Mobile is better, they increase the subsidized price of their G2 and myTouch 4G to $249 from $199 not too long ago.

Anyone notice the better sound in the new iMacs. Are there new speakers in there?

I wonder how many of these posts are trolls? I haven't had any issues whatsoever with 4.3.1. I also didn't have any problems with 4.3; battery life has been absolutely stellar and call performance actually improved in 4.3.1.
The timing of all these "bitching" posts just seems suspicious.

I can confirm that I am a genuine iPhone 4 user who loves it. Loved the 3GS and the original iPhone before it. But for the first time, I'm affected by a problem that I see others complaining about: battery life is quite noticeably down since 4.3. 4.3.1 doesn't seem to have had much of an effect (not that it ever publicly purported to address that issue).

My sincere congrats to all of the new Mods...
Well, first, I need to point out that that was the single most obvious brown-nosed "welcome" I've seen yet. A true work of art. ;) Yes, I'm sending them all cookies, but you won't see me posting that here. Er... whoops!
Second, welcome back - truly - I know you've been worked to the ragged edge of oblivion, and I hope things get better soon. Please let us know if your interview (I missed the original posts about it a few weeks ago) ends up in an offer. If not, I know one of the next ones will. It's easy to get caught up in wondering about why you're working 72-hour weeks now, but it is just a short phase to help you appreciate even more the much better job which I am certain you'll have very soon.

Stop with the FUD already. Businesses operating in the EU cannot do this. Just because corporations in the USA can, doesn't mean the rest of the world is the same...
And I'm sure that the FT has no subscribers in the US, hence they don't care about subscriber information and the ability to sell it out ...
Oh, wait, they just turned down the ability to drastically increase readership and better serve their existing readers while saving in printing and distribution costs and reducing their billing processing needs, so that they could preserve the income from selling that subscriber information.
I don't think it's FUD. It's simple logic. If they are going to the mat to protect a revenue stream, it is unreasonable to assume that that revenue stream is insignificant.

Great news for Apple as far as iOS implementation but comparing including iPod touch doesn't really seem like a fair comparison since Android isn't on any PMP devices.
So as it stands, correct me if I'm wrong, but:
1. Mobile PHONES, Android > iOS
2. Include tablets and PMP iOS > Android by a good margin

Also, what is so bad about the iOS notification system? I just hit "Close" if I don't care about a notification at that time.
My biggest problem is, ok I don't want to look at it right then. BUT I would like to be able to look at it as some point.
I've also run into where I will be typing in a field or playing a game and a notification will pop up and I'll hit close before I realize it. Then it's just GONE, that's what annoys me the most.

I recently got a Pro with Logic and Garageband to do a bit of basic music production in my spare time. I've started from scratch, so I've been experimenting with garageband, and I was wondering how you can directly transfer Loops to the Keyboard, as in having up side by side, as I cant seem to find this.

Same here, but you can close Photos from the multitasking bar to reset it.
Yes, I've noticed this exact same bug from time to time after upgrading to 4.3. And yes as noted, you can clear the bug by just quitting Photos from the multitasking screen.

would it make any difference if he stayed there just in the afternoon ?
or if he was visiting a male friend ? he could be bisexual or whatever ;)
and for the "under the roof" argument: i give you a hint it's the girlfriends parents roof not yours
is it possible to prevent "them having sex" ? as said before: not really
and still i haven't heard a reason why he shouldn't have sex ? he is old enough isn't he ?
at 18 i knew what the risks were .. i already knew at 15 as well .. i doubt my parents would have had a problem with staying at a girls house (i didn't do it since i had a girlfriend untill later) and they wouldn't have been able to stop me either ;)
it's not the problem of the child that the parents perhaps had bad experiences or are afraid of the idea "of the little boy growing up" and making his own experiences without the parents

I will admit being a designer this would be a 'fun' distraction but it's like going from a sketchboard and pencil (mac + wacom tablet) to finger painting.
Nothing wrong with finger painting but for what I do the precision of the tablet isn't something I can give up.
